Dr. George Koliakos an Dr. Kouzi-Koliakou,who belong to Aristotle University Medical School Faculty and cryo-preserve cell-lines since 1987. The services which are provided are scientifically proven and came as a result of the long-term experience of the responsible scientists in the medical academic research and the practice of medicine.

Today in the scientific board of Biohellenika participates University professors and distinguished scientists.  

Since the first months of operation the company has applied and received the certification ISO 9001: 2000 by Lloyd’s for the preparation  of quality control and cryo-preservation of autologous stem cells of the umbilical cord.

The laboratories were accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ΕSΥD) with No 410 8/2/2008, an accreditation certificate according to ISO 15189:2007, as a medical laboratory, for its quality controls.

The labs of Biohellenika

Τhe laboratories of Biohellenika fully operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and provide standard conditions of stem cells preservation.

Biohellenika nowadays has two complete laboratories (clean rooms) preparation and cryo-preservation of umbilical cord stem cells, fully equipped operating autonomously and are inspected daily according to the instructions of the European Community.

The central laboratories, total area of 2700m², lie at the headquarters of the company, 65 Georgikis Scholis Avenue, at the exit of Thessaloniki to the airport, in the professional use building ZEDA

The basic software of the company (CRM-ERP-LIMS) is a special application which was adapted from the very beginning in a way to cover the specifications of all the quality systems that the company follows.
