BIOHELLENIKA SUCCESSFULLY RENEWED ITS SUCCESSFULLY RENEWED ITS INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION BY AABB FOR THE FAMILY STORAGE OF STEM CELLS
On 5/9/2012, BIOHELLENIKA S.A. renewed successfully its international accreditation by the AABB (American Association of Blood Banks). Two years ago, on 20th of September 2010 Biohellenika was accredited for the first time by AABB and the accreditation must be renewed every two years. This accreditation is important because the samples that are stored in Biohellenika are acceptable for treatment all over the world.
AABB accreditation is the international guarantee for the Quality of the services Biohellenika provides during the procedure, the storage of the stem cells units and the release of the sample for transplantation in Greece and abroad too. Biohellenika up to now has released three cord blood samples for cerebral palsy treatment and has supported almost 350 treatments with stem cells, with no complication.
