CERTIFICATIONS - ACCREDITATIONS Biohellenikas policy is to gain all the international certifications which are related to the quality for the services provided with the reagents in use and the laboratory equipment. Since the establishment of the company, all procedures are daily controlled and as a result the company succefully received the following certifications and accreditations:
Biohellenika - The first Greek private stem cell bank with FACT accreditation
On July 16, 2025, Biohellenika officially received accreditation from the international organization FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy), confirming the company's compliance with the highest global quality and safety standards.
The FACT accreditation covers:
- The collection, processing, testing, storage and distribution of hematopoietic and mesenchymal cells
- The possibility of therapeutic use of Biohellenika's products in domestic and international clinical protocols
This compliance ensures:
- Acceptance of units in transplant programs worldwide
- Recognition of quality by public and private health institutions
- Trust for parents and children who have invested in stem cell storage
The accreditation is valid for three years, until July 2028, when the next inspection will take place.
ΑΑΒΒ (AΜΕRΙCAN ASSOCIATION OF BLOOD BANKS)
Biohellenika is accredited by the international recognised organisation AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) since 2010 and renews the accreditation every two years. The present certificate of accreditation is valid until Septeber 2024.
